Chaco Culture National Historical Park

Contains the largest excavated Anasazi Ruins in the Southwest. Considered central to the Anasazi culture, Chaco is located in a canyon that lies within one of the most desolate New Mexico desert environments. The canyon contains hundreds of small sites along with 13 major ruins. Most of the ruins are accessible by vehicle or foot.Sign the guest book to claim the cache.

The park is open everyday from sunrise to sunset. The Visitor Center is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The park visitor center is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day, in observance of these holidays, but the park's roads, sites, trails and campground will remain open.
