I have this location listed on the Terracaching site, but the logging requirements are different, so this is an OCNA Only cache. There are also many other Terracaches in this historic town as well as caches on the Groundspeak site.
One of the last three remaining War Department-era structures stands at this site and offers the visitors a breathtaking experience in more ways than one. Originally, there were five of these structures constructed by the United States War Department on the battlefield. Although the tower doesn't seem very high, I promise you'll get a heart pumping experience when you climb it. Although climbing it is not a requirement, I think you will if you're able.
You must physically visit this site to take credit for this cache. Please post a picture of you and/or your GPSr with the Tower in the background.
There is a confirmation code required for logging this cache. The confirmation code is the last word, third line, in the paragraph next to July 2 on the information sign located between the two cannons near the base of the tower, all uppercase.
