Welcome to North Dakota’s most whimsical road trip! The Enchanted Highway is 32 miles of quiet county road lined with the world’s largest scrap-metal sculptures, all built by one determined artist, Gary Greff, to keep his tiny hometown of Regent alive. This virtual series takes you from the interstate to the final wave in Regent. There are no questions to answer – simply stop at each giant, snap a photo of yourself (or a personal item like your GPS, hat, or caching name card) with the sculpture clearly visible in the frame, and post it with your “Found it” log.
At the end of the highway in Regent stands the medieval-style Enchanted Castle motel with its turret and knight statues. Take your final photo in front of the castle building or the knight out front.
