Located on the recently rerouted Jim Rainforth Side Trail (910 meters long)
"Named after a former President of the club. This trail combined with the main trail forms a 2km loop. Starts at km 53.2 and at km 52.1." Source: http://niagarabrucetrail.club/wp/the-trail/
Recommended parking is off Glen Road, making it about 1.5kms to the cache and just over 3 if you take the loop back on the main trail. This is the recommended scenic route. Or you could park on Seventeenth St and take the short 1/2km walk to the cache. Waypoints are provided for either option.
The cache is a small plastic bottle and contains the logsheet and a pencil. Tucked in behind a large rock on the rock wall immediately beside the trail. Should be available in winter unless the snow gets too deep.
There is an old Terracache in the area, I found it in 2015 and suspect it's still there. https://play.terracaching.com/Cache/TCD2V (note: you will need to log in to Terracaching.com in order to see the cache description, and you will also need two sponsors.
