Description EN

The cattle statues at Pioneer Plaza are more extensive and famous, but there are lesser known places in Dallas with lesser displays that are also worth seeing, if briefly. Maybe on your way to or from the Perot Museum of Nature and Science.

Sandwiched in a small triangle is a small patch of grass to East of N. Field St., Northwest of Olive St. (near where it changes to Nowitzki Way), and Southwest of Caroline St. Not to be confused with Harwood Historic District on the east end of downtown Dallas, this small grassy area has a large "Welcome to Harwood" billboard and a single steer statue.

The District of Harwood started in 1984 with opening of the "Rolex" building, which was  the first office development in Uptown Dallas. Harwood International developed Harwood with more than five million square feet of "premier class AA" office, residential, and retail space in a park-like campus, with gardens and art-filled lobbies. Harwood is planned to grow to over 11 million square feet totaling over $3 billion in development.

To claim your find, post a photo of you and the steer statue and/or Welcome to Harwood sign.
