I feel a little bad about logging this one.  Since November I have taken to looking through my GSAK database whenever I am going to a new place to see if there are any OpenCaching.us caches in the area.  As I only populate my database with caches that are OC.US only much of the time I am disappointed.  But today I was headed to Chambersburg to celebrate my neice's 7th birthday and what do I find but a virtual that is all of 3 blocks from her house.  So I planned on picking this one up while in the area.  With the added bonus that I would get to score a FTF.  I was wishing that I could grab a physical but oh well we will live.

So I was running late getting there today because of the snow and honestly this one was not really on the way but more on the way out so I decided ot hold off on it and make it to the party on time.  After lunch then cake and presents the kids went out to play in the snow and I was chatting with my mom about caching and some upcoming events and she mentioned this cache being here and that she was thinking about finding it.  She had already found the other cache in town as it was listed on another site and she had logged it there.  No one was really pumped to get out and find this cache with the cold.  I admit I probably could have pushed a little and we would have went out but I think the ice cream cake was weighing heavy in my belly and sitting on the couch was feeling pretty good.  Then the kids came back in and we played board games for the rest of the night and I prety much forgot about the cache until I was leaving to go home and ended up driving down the road and noticing the phone booth right there and the cache icon on my nuvi.  I pulled into the parking lot and decided I just had to get this while I was here as it might be a while before I would be back.  And that brings it to why I feel a bit bad logging this cache.  My mom had mentioned that we could go find it together to get the FTF but I was there alone and it was late enough that everyone was getting ready for bed when I left.  So I guess I will have to take this one as my own FTF and let her go get another one somewhere else.

Thanks for an interesting virtual that was a little off the beaten path.  I may have to do a physical one as I know of a phone booth in my hometown growning up that is still around there today.  Just have to make it up there to hide it and then give my mom the chance at the ftf and leave her a note so she can maintain it :)
