That Szuchi sure do write purdy don't he? The good news is that they didn't leave any of them there Philly omlettes in the cache.
So I found myself travelling from there to here today. And the fact that I was doing it an hour earlier than I had planned was a just a bit of good fortune. Taking full advantage of that happenstance I pulled off the 219 and made my way to this lovely park.
I left the ladder on the truck and headed on in to the woods. At the first crossing of the paths I had to stop and wait as the traffic on the trail perpendicular to mine obviouslt had the right of way. Ladies first after all. Once the traffic had cleared I looked both ways and, with no more travelers in sight, I proceded on my way.
Spying the first water hazard early I started making plans. Sizing up where and how to cross as I approached. Should have worried about that when I got there and paid more attention to where my feet were. I was amazed at how far I could slide on one foot. But I managed to get the other back underneath me before I went down. I know, anticlimatic. Sorry.
Made it the rest of the way to the cache site without incident. A quick survay of the area and I spotted what I thought was the most likely location for a Cayuga cache. Bingo! Nice job on that container and the hide is right up to your usual high standards.
Thanks for the fun afternoon hike. It was an enjoyable way to spend a fall afternoon.
