Description EN

This cache can be a stand alone cache or part of the planetary trail that I have created over the years. You will be seeking the marker for the planet Mars.

The B&A Trail is a park and is open from dawn to dusk (notice the limited hour attribute). Wink

The B&A Trail is about 14 miles long and paved with asphalt. It parallels MD Route 2 most of its length. There is a connector at the northern end to put you on the BWI Trail which circles BWI Airport. The B&A Trail is a very popular trail for walkers, runners, inline skating and bicycling. I walk/run a portion of it for exercise starting at the Marley Station Mall in Glen Burnie.

Parking is not too terribly far from the cache location. I recommend parking near the first cache in this series: Sol. Remember to bring a camera or something to write with.

I hope you noticed that the cache has an offset attribute, so there will be some field work once you find the marker.

The marker is a little concealed by the foliage, so stay on the trail and it is in between a break in the large wooden, horizontal beams on the east side of the trail. If you are traveling from the north, there will be a 6 foot tall black metal fence on your right (covered with plant life, but recognizable) approximately 30 feet before GZ. If you are traveling from the south, you will pass a staircase to a nice little playground a short distance from GZ.When you find the marker project a waypoint, in feet, the number of days in a typical year at a bearing of: ABC degrees.

Where:

A = the first number on the marker

B = the second number on the marker + A

C = the third number on the marker + (2*A) + B

A+B+C checksum=15

Please stay on the trail. You will find the cache just a couple feet off of the trail.

You must physically visit this location to take credit for this cache.

The confimation code is at the bottom of the BIT cache itself. Please leave it the way you found it. Thanks!
